Dividend Data LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the Dividend Data website (dividenddata.com), the Dividend Data Terminal web application, and the Dividend Data spreadsheet add-ins for Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Services. By using any of our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

When you create a Dividend Data account, we collect:

Usage counts for credit tracking and subscription enforcement

Spreadsheet Add-in Data
For our Google Sheets and Excel add-ins specifically:

Spreadsheet contents — We do not access, read, or store the contents of your spreadsheets
Personal financial data — Our add-ins fetch public market data only; we do not access your brokerage accounts or personal holdings via the add-ins
Formulas or cell data — Only the specific parameters you pass to our functions (like ticker symbols) are transmitted to our servers

We do not sell your personal information.
We share limited data with trusted third-party service providers solely to operate and improve our Services. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it for the purposes we specify:
Payment processing — Your payment details are handled by Stripe. We never store your full card number.
Cloud infrastructure — We use cloud hosting, database, and API services to run our platform securely.
Financial data providers — Public market data is sourced through our API servers. No user identity is shared with these providers.
Brokerage connectivity — If you choose to link a brokerage account in the Terminal, the connection is handled by authorized third-party providers. This is entirely opt-in.
Email delivery — We use an email service provider for newsletter delivery, onboarding sequences, and account notifications.
Search services — Ticker lookup functionality is powered by a third-party search provider. No user identifiers are transmitted.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Dividend Data and its users.

Spreadsheet Add-ins
The add-ins do not use browser cookies. Session data is stored locally using standard Office and Google storage APIs.
Website & Terminal
Our website and Terminal use cookies and similar tracking technologies:
Essential cookies — Session authentication and core functionality. Required for the Service to operate.
Functionality cookies — Remember your preferences, login details, and language settings.
Analytics cookies — Aggregate usage data to help us understand how the Service is used.

Dividend Data is based in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
For EU/EEA users: We comply with GDPR requirements. Our lawful basis for processing is contract performance (providing the service you subscribed to) and legitimate interest (improving our services). Your rights under GDPR include the right to erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing.
Dividend Data is not a "trader" under EU consumer laws and does not act as a marketplace or intermediary for financial services.

California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
